Our mission is to inspire and empower women to get outside, be courageous, and boldly embrace and pursue their dreams by carving their own paths in the mountains and in life.

Originating in Big Sky, Montana, Women of Winter is a grassroots organization founded by Chris Walch, a female ski instructor.

Inspired by the incredible accomplishments of her fellow female colleagues, she and several other badass women knew their stories needed to be shared. They also knew the women in their community were hungry to hear them, and so in December of 2018, Women of Winter was born.
