Sustained and enduring change requires investment. Specialized certifications create pathways for scholarship recipients to continue pursuing leadership in Snowsports and the Outdoor Industry.
The Freestyle Specialist Level 1 Certification (FS1) course is for instructors embarking on the journey toward mastery of freestyle coaching and instruction.
Application Prerequisites
Applicant must be a Women of Winter Alpine or Snowboard scholarship recipient with a current PSIA-AASI Level I Certification.
Scholarship Includes:
5-day PSIA-AASI Children’s Specialist Level I - e-learning and on-snow Prep Course
Lift tickets for all Program Dates
Welcome reception
Video and One-on-One Coaching

Program Details:
LOCATION: Big Sky Resort, Big Sky, Montana
PROGRAM DATES: January 4 - 10, 2027
APPLICATION DEADLINE: September 13th, 2026
Please note. If you apply for and/or receive a scholarship this season (2026-27) and and are not able to participate in the program, you’ll need to reapply for the same scholarship for next season (2027-28). Lodging and transportation are not included.
Please note that the scholarship only covers the course tuition and lift passes.
It does not cover any other expenses (i.e. food, travel or accommodations, etc).
